Teaching: Dr. Snider teaches undergraduate students in psychiatric mental health nursing, law and ethics, introduction to research, and the Honors Program. She teaches masters students in ethics and group psychotherapy. She teaches the doctoral course in ethics.  

Research and Scholarly Activities: Dr. Snider was the assistant editor of the Journal of Professional Nursing for editorials in Nursing Law and Ethics 2000-2003. She has contributed to textbooks in psychiatric nursing and in psychosocial aspects of nursing over the years.

Service: Dr. Snider presently serves as chairperson of the College of Nursing Search Committee; she is a member at large on the Academic Affairs Committee and is a member of the Progression Examination Committee for the doctoral program. She co-chairs the Ethics Committee at Shands at Vista.

Clinical practice area/expertise : Dr. Snider practices group therapy with women who have borderline personality disorder in outpatient settings.

Education: Dr. Snider received her BSN in Nursing from the University of Alabama. She received her MN in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing and her EdD in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Florida.
