
Teaching: Dr. Jessup teaches pharmacology to undergraduate and graduate students as well as adult health to undergraduate students.
Research: Dr. Jessup’s research focus includes the e ffects of exercise on renal function, cardiovascular function, oxidative stress, ambulatory blood pressure, bone density and balance in the elderly.
Service: Dr. Jessup holds membership in Sigma Theta Tau International, Florida Nurses Association, Southern Nursing Research Society, and the American College of Sports Medicine. He has volunteered services in Haiti.
Clinical practice area/expertise: Dr. Jessup has clinical expertise in adult emergency and critical care and cardiovascular/pulmonary rehabilitation.
Education: Dr. Jessup received his BSN in Nursing at California State University and his MSN in Adult Health at the University of North Carolina. He received his PhD in Nursing/Exercise at the University of Florida.
