 Teaching:  Dr. Knapp started at the University of Florida College of Nursing August 2009.

 

Research:  Dr. Knapp conducted research in 2007 on Parental Perceptions of the NICU Experience. In 2009 she researched the Effects of an Evidence-Based Intervention on Stress and Coping of Family Members of Critically Ill Trauma Patients

 

Service:  Dr. Knapp is a member of the American Nurses Association, the Florida Nurses Association, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, the Southern Nursing Research Society and Sigma Theta Tau. She also serves as Secretary, for Alpha Theta Chapter, Sigma Theta Tau.

 

Areas of Expertise:  Critical Care, Family Centered Care, Trauma

 

Education:  Dr. Knapp received her PhD from the University of Central Florida in 2009. She also received her MSN from Jacksonville University in 2005 as well as her BSN from Jacksonville University in1999.
