
Teaching: Dr. Little teaches graduate Public Health Nursing courses. Prior to teaching at the University of Florida, she was the Director of Sarasota-Manatee Nursing Programs and Instructor at The University of South Florida.
Research and Scholarly Activities: Dr. Little’s research interests are in the areas of nursing education, specifically online education and the use of technology. Her DNP project examined the use of standards for peer review of online nursing courses.
Service: Dr. Little holds membership in the American Public Health Association, Association of Community Health Nursing Educators, Florida Nurses Association, Florida Public Health Association, National and Florida School Health Nurses Associations and Sigma Theta Tau. Dr. Little serves on the SREB Council on Collegiate Education for Nursing, Online Faculty Resources Committee and Sarasota County Fetal and Infant Mortality Review Committee. Previous service activities include membership and chair of curriculum and continuing education committees.
Clinical practice area/expertise: Dr. Little has clinical expertise in public health nursing, maternal child nursing, child development screening and holds certifications as a nurse educator and school nurse.
Education: Dr. Little received her BSN in Nursing at Florida State University. She received her MPH in Maternal and Child Health at The University of South Florida and her DNP in Nursing at The University of South Florida.
