
Teaching : Dr. Miles serves as Associate Dean for Academic and Student Affairs where she provides consultation to the faculty, Department Chairs and Dean on academic program planning, development, implementation and evaluation. In addition she oversees the development and implementation of enrollment management planning, including student recruitment, admission, progression and retention procedures; student advising, orientation and graduation. Prior to her work at University of Florida, Dr. Miles served as Director of the School of Nursing and SW Florida Endowed Chair at Florida Gulf Coast University. Before that, she served in several administrative and academic positions at West Virginia University School of Nursing.
Service: Dr. Miles is a member of the American Nurses Association and Florida Nurses Association. She served as a member of the Board of Directors and as Treasurer for FNA District 29. She is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau International and the National Association of Neonatal Nurses.
Clinical expertise: Dr. Miles’ specialty is in neonatal and pediatric nursing.
Education: Dr. Miles received her BSN, MSN and EdD in Educational Psychology from West Virginia University.
